This is the Broadway Cast of In the Heights, who just recieved 13 Tony Award nomination, recording one of their best songs called 96000. “In the Heights is a new musical about three days in the life of Washington Heights, a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. It’s a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. In the Heights comes to Broadway after a successful run at off-Broadway’s 37 Arts. It was nominated for the 2007 Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Lyrics and won the 2007 Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Musical. From the same producers who brought us Rent and Avenue Q, and created by a team of New York’s freshest young talents, In the Heights is the hip, modern and completely unique tale of a community at a crossroads.” -www.broadway.com

Doing a road trip from Washington, DC around the east coast starting this weekend, how are the road conditions?

February 29th, 2012

Question by newcomer: Doing a road trip from Washington, DC around the east coast starting this weekend, how are the road conditions?
I am planning to do a road trip this weekend, driving from washington, DC to the following places.
1. Buffalo, NY
2. Niagara Falls
3. New York City (New Year’s Eve)
4. Boston
5. Philadelphia
6. Back to Washingon, DC

How are the road conditions travelling around these routes? I haven’t driven in the snow before and is concerned about the drive.

Any other form of alternatives tpt to suggest?

As you probably already know, the roads in southern NJ backs up horribly on any day, let alone a long weekend. There is a route that goes through Penn., look that up.

NYC will be packed on New Years, stay away from Times Square on the car, do it on foot, if anything.

Central and Northern NY isn’t that bad.

Also, we aren’t expecting any snow this coming weekend. Although you should give yourself some more time in traveling from place to place Buffalo and Niagara get pretty bad.

Best answer:

Answer by alex03070307
AMC calls applicants based on availability and how well you scored on the personality test you took when you applied. If no one calls you immediately its probably because they don’t need new employees or because its such a busy week (HARRY POTTER!!!!) that they cant train right now. If you don’t get a call within the next week i would follow up and see if they are still considering your application

Who was the guy who ran the excellent classical music radio show for many years?

February 28th, 2012

Question by Terence: Who was the guy who ran the excellent classical music radio show for many years?
There was an American radio program that ran weekly for an hour for many, many years. The presenter was amazing and it was inccrdibly interesting and educational. I think the show ran until maybe ten years ago. Can someone tell me the name of the show, the presenter and (wouldn’t it be great?) whether or not the recordings are available online?

I think you mean Karl Haas, he had a weekly radio show called Adventures in Good Music.
The show is still in syndication in some areas.
