This band clearly rocks with effortless groove and swing, as Lana's natural and soulful vocals rings honestly and reminiscently in the tradition of Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Tina Turner."
– Lonnie Hillyer , Maggie's Dream/Jeffrey Gaines/Billy Joel

"Lana Spence can sing. She has a beautiful wide open face and her voice comes out strong and definitive. I have seen her sing in a number of different situations and she always takes care of business".
– Sam Andrew, Big Brother and the Holding Company

"Lana is the best female artist in this city and if you don't know it now, you'll know it soon".
– Scott Slaega, Blind Melon's Nightclub, Winstons Nightclub, San Diego, Ca

"Lana Spence is hands down the best female singer I've seen and I've been in the music business for over twenty-five years and have seen a lot of shows. I love live music, and I love it even more when there's pure talent on stage. Lana's got it. Most female (and male) singers I've seen don't have the charisma, presence, or talent to carry the band, but Lana is the exception. Lana has moxie…not to mention charm, wit, and style. Where's she playing? Let's go!!! "
– Kelly Knight, Washington/98Rock-Baltimore/CBS Radio-Washington

"A great band! Lana's voice takes this band to awesome heights".
– Steve McWilliams, Columbia Pike Blues Festival, Arlington, Virginia

Washington – The Jewel of United States

July 31st, 2012

USA is the commercial, political and the industrial epicenter of the world and the only superpower today. It is the home to the most powerful organizations and one of the most powerful people in the world. Geographically, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States lays Washington. One of the most developed states in the US. According to the country’s census, as of 2008, Washington has an estimated population of 6,549,224, which is an increase of 11.1%, since the year 2000.

Washington has a marine climate that varies from the west to east, the high and the low pressures of the ocean and the air determines its climate. The temperature in Washington ranges from 51° F to 40° F towards the northeast. Adding to the surprise, there were times when the highest recorded temperatures was 118° F and the lowest was -48° F in the state. Apart from its mild climate, western part of the state is well known for showing forms of precipitation as fog, drizzles. It is cold in summer as well as winters. Precipitation is seen increasing towards the Rocky Mountains.

Washington has 9 fascinating national forests, monuments, protected wildernesses, military, and other protected lands. The very famous Olympic national park, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Hanford Reach National Monument, Juniper Dunes Wilderness, Wild Sky Wilderness, Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, Little Pend Oreilles National Wildlife Refuge, McCord Air Force Base, Hanford Site, Ross Lake National Recreation Areas an Juan Island National Historical Park are tourist destinations of this state. If you are a nature lover you must visit these!

Washington is part of Pacific Northwest of the USA. The range of the famous Cascade Mountains runs through the state, bisecting it. Also there are dense forests of coniferous trees and areas of temperate green forests in Washington. Mt. Baker, Glacier Peak, Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, and Mount Adams are the major peaks in the state. Some of them have great tourist destinations and amusement parks near them. Mount St. Helens is currently the only volcano that is actively erupting. Being the land of contrasts, Washington has Mt. Rainer, which is the highest peak in the state covered with more glacial ice than any of the 48 states south to it.

Talking about the tourist destinations, Washington is home to well known and beautiful national parks and wild life sanctuaries. Mount Rainier National Park, North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park among others is well known and praised by the world. Also worth giving visits are the spectacular cities of the state; Seattle is the most populated city with a population of 602,000. The city is an industrial hub for migrants from all over the world. The German, English, Irish, Norwegian, Mexican, African American and Filipino are the six largest ancestries found here, making it a blend of cultures and a mixture of dialects. The main religion in Washington of course, is Christianity along with affiliations of Protestants, Mainline, and Evangelical. Synonymous to other states, the percentage of the states population identifying themselves as “non-religious” is higher than the national average of USA.

When you visit Washington you can live at Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, Fairmont hotel or the Four point Sheraton. You will get various options for cheaper accommodations as well.

Q&A: How to fix lens error 0×41100 on a sony camera?

Question by austinklucas: How to fix lens error 0×41100 on a sony camera?
I have a sony digtal camera every time i turn it on it gets a lens error so i need help fixing it.

Best answer:

Answer by Camera R
Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it’s sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera’s been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended …

Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they’re worth a try.

Fences tickets have been leading the way at the box office for weeks now proving if a show it great the people will still come. The economic environment has hurt many of the smaller productions on the Great White Way but the Cort Theater has continued to be filled with audience members each week. There are many reasons why this has become the spring’s main attraction.

First off, the play stars Oscar winning actor Denzel Washington of such Hollywood movies as, well I think everyone is aware of his achievements on the screen. Most theater lovers always want to check out a play or musical with a big Hollywood name behind it and especially once they win a Tony for their performance. The name and award have many rushing to purchase Fences tickets before the limited engagement closes on July 11, 2010. Before Mr. Washington actually won the Tony Award for Best Performance By A Leading Actor in a Play, audiences were already a buzz. The play received stunning reviews right from the opening night with the focus on Denzel’s performance playing Troy Maxson, a sanitation worker whose past was in the glory of professional baseball.

Another main attraction which has made Fences tickets the hot seat for Broadway this spring season is the play itself. Written by the famous playwright August Wilson and coming from his ten play collection referred to as the “Pittsburgh Cycle”. For those who have seen other plays in the collection then catching this performance on Broadway is surely a must. The ten plays which Mr. Wilson had written are a backdrop for the 20th century and a deep look into the path of the African-American journey. Each play covers a decade, a character, a place and a time which provide great insight into the roots of history.

The final aspect of this play which as the theater community talking is that this is the first revival of the original production. The play first premiered on Broadway back in 1987 where it starred James Earl Jones. The 1987 breakout won a Pulitzer Prize and 4 Tony Award’s, among them the Tony Award for Best Play. Having the show back on Broadway for a limited time has added great demand for Fences tickets and making them difficult to secure, unless willing to pay high prices.

While the time to catch this wonderful play on Broadway is running out there still is an opportunity to see what all the talk is about. The best way to try and purchase Fences tickets would be directly from the box office. Most show times have probably been already sold out, especially weekend performances. You can always try to get last minute seats from the box office for a mid-week matinee which will have the least demand but if all is sold out then you may have to pay extra through a secondary source. Regardless of how you get the tickets you are sure to have an experience you will talk about for years.
