Outside the Uptown Theater in the Cleveland Park section of Washington, DC as the crowd emerges from having seen "Where the Wild Things Are." It was different from the book, but I liked it anyhow. Had some great previews before it, too.

Garnet Rogers

April 30th, 2013

Garnet Rogers
Event on 2013-12-14 19:30:00
Hailed by the Boston Globe as a "charismatic performer and singer", Garnet has a powerful physical presence – close to six and a half feet tall – with a voice to match. With his "smooth, dark baritone" (Washington Post), his incredible range, and thoughtful, dramatic phrasing, Garnet is widely considered by fans and critics alike to be one of the finest singers anywhere. His music, like the man himself, is literate, passionate, highly sensitive, and deeply purposeful. Cinematic in detail, his songs "give expression to the unspoken vocabulary of the heart" (Kitchener Waterloo Record). An optimist at heart, Garnet sings extraordinary songs about people who are not obvious heroes and of the small victories of the everyday. As memorable as his songs, his over-the-top humour and lightning-quick wit moves his audience from tears to laughter and back again. http://www.garnetrogers.com/

Question by Kat DeMuriel: When do you want to start hearing Christmas music on the radio?
I woke up this morning to my radio station playing straight Christmas music. While I am not a Scrooge by any means, I think it is a bit soon for endless holiday music. What do you say? When do you think radio stations and stores should start playing holiday music?

Best answer:

Answer by Too Much!!

Some of the many types of Pokémon Pan available at the grocery store across the street from the hotel.

My co-workers went first and said there were only two left. Afterwards, one of them pointed out that they only recognize Pikachu, hence why they were off in their count.

This example of a Parlee Z5SL stock road bicycle is courtesy of Parlee Cycles parleecycles.com. It sports Campagnolo Super Record 11 components and Lightweight Ventoux wheels. The Z5SL has the ENVE 1.0 fork as opposed to the ENVE 2.0 fork on the regular Z5. It also has titanium components, and a carbon seatpost clamp. It also is the lightest of the batch of frames that come into the Parlee plant.
Parlee attended the National Handbuilt Bicycle Show and was kind enough to bring their show bikes to the KGS Bikes studio for a photo shoot and this is one of those bikes.

Is there a way to broadcast online radio on FM player for free?

Is there a way to broadcast online radio on FM player for free?

Best answer:

Answer by LadyInRed_Edm
If it is Wi-Fi and you have a constant connection to the internet you can, otherwise it won’t work.
There are some products to use in your home (if that is the only place you want to do this) that will wirelessly broadcast your music from your computer on to your home stereo so perhaps it would work to your portable FM player. Logitech has these types of products so go have a look at their website.
The only other solution you may want to check out is satellite radio systems. They come with portable units and you can record songs you like as well.
Have fun!

Q&A: What is the fundamental functional difference between the senate and the house of representatives.?

April 30th, 2013

Question by cambridge007: What is the fundamental functional difference between the senate and the house of representatives.?
So, what are the significant difference in the functions performed by the Senate and the House.

I am NOT looking for the stats, such as 2 senators per state, versus Reps. based on population, length of terms…etc. etc.

I am trying to figure out what exactly it is that Senators do, and what it is that the House of Representatives do…….or are expected to do, that makes them uniquely different when compared to each other.

Best answer:

Answer by Politically incorrect & proud
In the house of representatives bigger states have more representatives and in the senate each state has 2 representatives.
