Use Satellite Internet From Coupeville, Washington To Stay In Touch With Friends Across The Country

March 16th, 2010

Some people who live in rural areas love the small town feel. They love that everything in their little hometown is comfortable and familiar. They cannot walk down the street without passing a friend, and they know all of their neighbors like they are family. They have gone to school with the same people since kindergarten, and are still dating their high school sweetheart. They visit the same family run restaurant every week, and frequent the other mom- and pop-shops on a regular basis. They could not dream of leaving the coziness that comes from a small town like Coupeville, Washington or Snohomish, Washington.

This life is not for everyone. Other people from small towns cannot wait to get out of there and into a big city. They feel too closed in living in a small town and want to see what else the world has to offer. They know there are more opportunities for them outside of their hometown. They want to go on an adventure; meet new people, try new food, learn about other cultures, and have new experiences. They do not want everyone in town to know their business. They want to start fresh.

It is difficult for these two types of people to understand where the other is coming from, but there comes a point when they have to accept the other’s wishes. From here, the hardest part is staying in touch, so that you do not feel as far apart from each other as the map says. Luckily, with satellite internet technology, there are many ways to lessen the distance, making the adjustment easier. With a satellite broadband connection, you are always online and have a speedy connection, whether you are in a small town or a big city.

1.    E-mail: E-mail is the most obvious form of communication after the telephone. An e-mail can be sent at anytime of the day or night, especially since with satellite internet you are always online. Even if your friend is not home, an e-mail will be sent and waiting for them to return to their computer. If they have internet on their phone, an e-mail will reach them instantly. With e-mail you can also attach photographs to keep each other up to date.

2.    Chat: Chatting is a more instant form of e-mail. If you and your friend are both at your computers, you can instantly send messages back and forth. You can even chat with more than one person at once, if you are good at multitasking!

3.    Video chat: This is probably the best communication option for friends living far away from each other. It is like you are talking on the phone, but you can see each other! Thanks to cameras and microphones, which are built in to most computers now, you will feel like you are in the same room as your friend. With a satellite broadband connection, no matter how far away you are, the conversation is instant, so there is no delay or choppiness.
