"Not many twenty-three year old blues/rock guitarists can claim to have opened for BB King on tour in the US, but that is exactly Hamish Anderson’s destiny when he finished a tour with the legendary Blues guitarist in October 2014.

Since then, he’s turned twenty-four, did seven showcases during SXSW, and opened for Los Lobos, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Wynonna Judd and Blues Traveler— all in just the first half of 2015. And in 2014, when RevoltTV asked guitarist Gary Clark Jr. who to watch under the age of 30, he cited Hamish first. "

The inspiring true story of comrades facing the ultimate battle. This man and this dog are there for each at exactly the right time for miracles to occur.

“Impossible to put down. Read and share widely.”

—-Marc Bekoff, author of The Emotional Lives of Animals

“A dramatic dual journey that explores intangibles of health and healing without attempting to explain them away. This is truly the most unusual dog book ever.”

–Dr. Marty Becker, Resident Veterinarian Good Morning America and Dr. Oz Show

Although I am not a religious or spiritual person, the more I read, the more my skepticism melted. I am convinced of Leaf’s ability to sense what Allen needed. Readers will feel as if they know Leaf, and they’ll grow to love him too.”

–Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, Ph.D.,author of Dogs Never Lie about Love

"A remarkable story. It will reaffirm your faith in the unique and mutually healing bond that can form between humans and animals."

–Gwen Cooper,New York Timesbest-selling author ofHomer's Odyssey

Transcending the oft-told story of the human/dog bond, Allen and Leaf teach each other lessons of trust, love, and faith in the face of life’s tumult. A must-read for anyone who has experienced the guiding spirit of a dog.”

–Susan Wilson, author of The Dog Who Danced

"I was moved by this story of resilience and love. It conveys beautifully the vulnerability and richness of a dog’s life and the connection between their biographies and our own."

–Jonathan Balcombe, author ofSecond Nature
