How has the government’s intervention in the economy hurt capitalism?

July 2nd, 2013

Question by Shredder: How has the government’s intervention in the economy hurt capitalism?
Does the government’s involvement in the economy help or hurt it? Why or why not?

Best answer:

Answer by Ike Krull
The government’s involvement is so long standing and pervasive, that an inherently unstable system has developed. To remove the steadying hand of government at this point would only cause the house of cards to collapse.

What we have is indeed “Capitalism” which is not to be confused with the “Free Market”.
