How would I format a radio broadcast into a story?

April 13th, 2014

Question by Sonofmyworld: How would I format a radio broadcast into a story?
And radio communication, would it be italicized or in quotes, but using speech tags to let the reader know its a radio broadcast

Best answer:

Answer by J’s Evil Twin
Depending on the length of the broadcast you intend to insert, you could use italics, but only if it’s a short amount, as Italics is hard on the eyes. If you’re talking about a paragraph or more, I’d suggest a different typeface, like “Courier.” Also, to indicate that this information is not part of the narrative, you’d need to increase the indentation on both sides about an inch or so. This will set it off from the rest of the text. No quotations are necessary, as it’s implied by the change of typeface and indentation.

Will James Washington ever make it into the NFL Hall of Fame?

March 30th, 2014

Question by Dinger: Will James Washington ever make it into the NFL Hall of Fame?

Best answer:

Answer by mokimoto
No and here’s why: James Washington was a member of the Dallas Cowboys in the 90’s, joining them in two of their 3 Super Bowls. One of his most notable performances was in Super Bowl XXVIII when Thurman Thomas, after being tackled by Leon Lett, fumbled the ball, Washington returned it for a 46 yard touchdown to tie the game.

Washington was a starter at strong safety throughout the 1992 season. He lost his starting spot during training camp for the 1993 season because of the emergence of second year safety Darren Woodson. Throughout the ’93 season Washington was a reserve and nickel defensive back. In Super Bowl XXVIII the Buffalo Bills ran a three receiver single back formation. The Cowboys base defense most of the day would be in nickel(5 defensive backs)so Washington made the best of this starting opportunity by recording a fumble returned for a touchdown, causing a fumble that was recovered by Leon Lett and an interception. Washington would regain a full time starting position the following season(1994) at free-safety with the departure of Thomas Everett.

In 1995 he signed a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins. He is currently co-host of FOX Sports Radio show Out Of Bounds on Fox with Craig Shemon.[1]
