Question by Hey!: How long is the commute from Washington, DC to Johns Hopkins University?
Even though DC/Northern VA is a second home to me, I’m not sure how long it realistically takes to reach Baltimore from Washington, DC during the morning rush hours and returning during the afternoons. I plan on taking a summer course at JHU, but since my family live in DC, I want to commute rather than staying in Baltimore. If I did do this, how long would it take to get there and back? I know the route is 495-N towards Maryland and then I-95 N towards Baltimore. Thanks for any help!

It really depends upon traffic and your exact starting point. If there aren’t any tie-ups, you should be able to make it in an hour. But, during rush hour you often will have tie-ups, so figure on the trip taking anywhere from one to two hours.
