What is the best way to get from BWI to Washington DC with luggage?

Question by Tori D: What is the best way to get from BWI to Washington DC with luggage?
We are flying into BWI and staying in DC. I know that we can take a cab but that is expensive. So I am looking for an easy and cheap way to get to Washington DC from BWI. The closest metro to our hotel is the McPherson. I know that we can take a train or we can take the bus to the metro station and then ride the metro. We are coming in on a Monday Dec. 28 and leaving Saturday Jan 2.

Check the BWI website under “Ground Transportation”. There may some type of shared ride or shuttle service.
