The senate can invoke something called cloture. It takes 60 votes to invoke this, and that is what will bring a filibuster to an end.

JAL Flight 1628 UFO Incident Over Alaska New Re-creation 2010

In November, 1986, a Japanese crew of a jumbo freighter aircraft witnessed a UFO while flying over the state of Alaska. This sighting gained international attention when the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it was going to officially investigate this sighting because the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Anchorage, Alaska, had reported that the UFO had been detected on radar. Captain Terauchi was featured on numerous radio and TV programs and in People Magazine. Featured in this video is John Callahan who was the Division Chief of the Accidents and Investigations Branch of the FAA in Washington DC and UFO investigator Brent Mitchell.

In the first attack, a plane hit the north tower of the World Trade Center in Manhattan shortly before 9 am, followed by another plane into the second tower about 20 minutes later. Both towers later collapsed. â€¢ American Airlines told CNN that it lost two planes in “tragic accidents :” Flight 11 from Boston with 81 passengers and 11 crew aboard and Flight 77 from Washington Dulles airport with 58 passengers and six crew aboard. Both planes were en route to Los Angeles â€¢ About an hour later, a plane crashed into the Pentagon, part of which later collapsed. â€¢ United Airlines Flight 93 airliner headed from Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco, crashed near Somerset, Pennsylvania — police said initial reports indicated no survivors. It was not known if this was connected to the attacks. United also said it was “deeply concerned” about Flight l75 from Boston to Los Angeles. â€¢ The Pentagon, the White House, the State Department, the Justice Department, the Capitol, the CIA and all other government buildings in Washington evacuated. â€¢ In the first ever national ground stop of aircraft, all flights nationwide have been stopped at their departure airports. â€¢ All international flights were diverted to Canada. â€¢ Israel has evacuated all its missions around the world. â€¢ President Bush cancelled an appearance in Florida to return to Washington, calling the crashes “apparent terrorist attacks” and “a national tragedy.” â€¢ In Chicago, the Sears Tower was evacuated; United Nations in New …

Question by Viktor-Ron Paul 2008!!: Why should the Federal government have the ability to preside over issues like abortion and same-sex rights?
Abortion, Same-Sex Marriage, The Death Penalty, Education, etc. should all be in the hands of the states! Why should the government be able to make decisions on these issues, point on point. Who’s saying our Federal Government has the best judgment? Let the people decide on these issues in their respect states, and create state competition. Why do we tolerate the government in our lives, in social issues such as these?
Does not the tenth amendment state that all rights not mentioned in the Constitution belong exclusively to the states or the people?

Yes it does. That is one reason I Love Ron Paul. He does not vote for anything not expressly mentioned in the Constition, because as a legislator on the Federal level it is not his place to. WoW. Dr. No . I love it that one man actually Abides by the Constition. For over 20 yrs too. His voting record is easily researched. I love that although he personally does not think same sex marriage is ok, he voted No on A Federal Same Sex Marriage Ban because its not the federal govts job to define that. Thats integrity.

Nissan Recalls Over 92,000 Vehicles

The Nissan Motor Co. is recalling over 92,000 vehicles for faulty clutch and seat covering problems, the automaker and the Transport Ministry announced last Thursday.

The automaker will recall 76,929 cars of the Note, Tiida, Cube, Tiida Latio, March and the Wingroad models produced between May 2005 and March 2006 and sold in Japan, the transport ministry said in a statement. It added a crack may occur in some of the clutches because they are not strong enough and the car may stop in worst cases. Further, the ministry said that there have been 66 cases of reported troubles but no accidents.

Nissan also plans to recall about 420 Tiida vehicles sold in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Mauritius for the same problem, according to company spokeswoman Haruko Wada. In addition, the Japanese automaker also plans to recall 14,716 March subcompacts produced in September and December 2006 and sold in Japan. The ministry said that some of the coverings for front seats are not sturdy enough. Wada added that about 520 March subcompacts sold in other countries including Singapore, Mauritius and New Zealand are also subject to recall for the same reason.

Overall, 76,929 cars built since May 2005 until March 2006, are subject to free repairs. The Japanese automaker received 66 complaints from drivers connected with these defects. Almost 15,000 cars of the March series need the front seat support be replaced because it is not safe enough. The defect is burdened with the rupture of safety belts in the event of a traffic accident.

Defects on the Nissan light, clutch, engines, radiators, filter, suspension, and other auto parts accessories are expected to decline with the opening of Nissan’s new Global Production Engineering Center which will be used for testing purposes only.

The million-worth facility, which opened last year, is designed to ensure quality of Nissan vehicles. “We are about to go on a major offensive,” said Senior Vice President Toshiharu Sakai. With 30 models going into production worldwide in 12 months, production for three or more models needs to be tested a month quite a challenge for the center, Sakai said.

Testing production in advance on mock assembly lines may help fine-tune production and improve product quality, said Shozo Takata, a science and engineering professor at Waseda University. “It could serve the purpose of separating problems at the design stage from problems at the production stage,” he added. “That tends to be meaningful.”

In one demonstration, a cockpit of a car, which includes the steering wheel, glove compartment and other front interior parts, was placed into the frame of a vehicle, to make sure it fit properly.

William Schwartz, the Executive Vice President of TBM Consulting Group, which advises companies on production methods, said that other Japanese automakers, including the Toyota Motor Corp. and the Honda Motor Co., test out production methods for experimentation and changes before full-scale production. “The goal of production preparation is to create the best method with the least amount of waste. Worker productivity is improved regardless of the country or culture,” he said in an e-mail.

The Nissan Executive Vice President Hidetoshi Imazu said that the center helps cut the time for development and production preparation. “It is important that Nissan maintains the high levels of quality that our customers expect,” he added.

The third largest Japanese automaker has acknowledged that quality has sometimes suffered in recent years abroad. But Sakai and other Nissan officials are determined to catch potential glitches early in the game. When problems are found, they will be corrected right away.

There was not much enthusiasm among the team members of the Washington Redskins as they entered the New Meadowlands Stadium at East Rutherford, New Jersey. Or was it just that they had learned to expect defeat after a rash of consecutive losses. Whatever the case, there was no spirit that could be detected and the snow itself seemed to have been an additional deterrent to their enthusiasm. One person who should have been with them was absent and this was their defense lineman. He had not reported for practice and was therefore eliminated from the game. What was easily detected was the absence of support for the starters and the fact that defense lineman had been dropped from the players because he did not come for practice the Friday before.

It was a sweep of 31-7 for the New York Giants, the fifth victory in a series that they had so far won over the Redskins. The defeat of the Redskins was the eighth one out of the total of 9 games that they played for this season. Their play was as unmotivated as their entrance was and eventually, even the performance of quarterback Donovan Mcnabb was affected as he was repeatedly foiled and tackled by rookies of the New York Giants. As for the Redskins’ defense, none existed. The team could only stand and watch New York Giants’ 265-pounder Brandon Jacob hurtle back and forth on the playground. The only resistance they offered to the offense of the New York Giants was to futilely wave their hands as they watched touchdown after touchdown being made.

The new York Giants started out by scoring two touchdowns without effort. This was followed by some fumbling with the ball and an eventual third touchdown. And that was how most of the game went. The redskins failed to move as a concerted whole. They were disorganized and missing their cues. If they had seemed to be intimidated when they came in, they were looking bullied helpless towards the latter part until all the way to the end of the game.

It was not an entertaining spectacle to watch and fans were visibly getting restless. Some have left the stadium midway in the game. The New York Giants seemed as if they were practicing instead of playing a game against professionals. The defense of the Redskins was easily penetrated by the New York Giants and just as easily evaded. Their offense, as was noted, was periodically thwarted by rookies among the New York Giants.

The New York Giants are now on the same level as the Eagles. On the other hand, the Redskins have lost any chance of improving their ranking for the rest of the season and all their future games will be played because that is what they are being paid to do.

Last Sundays’ game was not one of the better ones for the season. There was simply not enough fight in the redskins to inspire excitement in the crowd. It stands out as one of the classic examples of how boring and ugly a game can be if the people playing have convinced themselves, on beforehand, of their eventual defeat.
