Question by taya919: Staying at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington DC. Need suggestions for a cheap place to park my car.?
We are staying at the Renaissance Hotel on 9th Street Saturday and Sunday. The hotel parking is $ 25 a day which is crazy expensive. Does anyone know where I can park that is within walking distance (5-10 minutes) with a more reasonable daily rate? Thanks

But basically cheap overnight parking doesn’t exist in DC. $ 25/night is normal.

Nationals Park, located along the Anacostia River in the Navy Yard neighborhood, replaced RFK Stadium as the home for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball in 2008. The ballpark, designed by Populous (formerly HOK Sport) and Devrouax & Purnell Architects and Planners, seats 41,888 fans and cost 1 million to build. The park’s name echoes the original name of the early-1900s ballpark used by the Washington Senators/Nationals, which was called National Park until it was rebuilt and renamed Griffith Stadium.

The main scoreboard, at 101-feet long and 47-feet high, is more than 5 times bigger than the one at its predecessor.

The park also features a 102-foot long out of town scoreboard, installed in the right field wall.

Washington Mutual Tower

When I snapped this picture of the Washington Mutual Tower in Seattle, back in 2003, I could not foresee the fiscal train wreck that was to occur, nor did anyone working in this tower. I look at this shot now, and I can only hear the words of Gordon Gecko: Greed is good. Good for a few in this tower, disastrous for everyone else.

Despite that, the Washington Mutual Tower (Now Chase) is one of my favorite skyscrapers in Seattle, and of all time. The 55 story Skyscraper, Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, opened in 1988.

Question by tori: What song did Campbell the Band play at Washington Square Park on July 27, 2010?
i was at washing square park in new york city on july 27 and Campbell The Band sang a song there, then handed out flyers and telling us that they were going to have a free show at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn on july 29. there was also someone recording them with a professional camera but i cant find the video anywhere. i really liked them and the song that they played but when i searched for it i couldn’t find that song. i don’t remember the lyrics, all i remember is that it was kind of upbeat and unique. so does anyone know what song they played because i really want to listen to it again. the lead singer did an amazing job and the rest of the band were fantastic playing all the different instruments!

there is no name to that song yet and no official recording… but here are a few VERY VERY low quality links if you are desperate to listen to it.
