Come learn more about the National Park Service’s role as warden of historical locations. This Wednesday lunchtime lecture series spotlights several Park Service sites in greater Washington, DC that reflect significant people and places associated with African American history.
Robert T. Parker, superintendent of Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park, will evoke the life and times of the woman who risked her life on the Underground Railroad rescuing African Americans from slavery and scouted for the Union Army during the Civil War. The National Historical Park is located in Cambridge, Maryland.
