1099 Reporting Requirements

1099 Reporting Requirements

NDTR Internet Talk Radio Station has just stepping into the political arena in an effort to educate small businesses on what is going on in Washington. There are a variety of issues that will affect small business owners and we wanted to get the news first hand. We had the opportunity to attend a white house briefing and hear from key staffers who work for the Obama administration. We wanted to share some vital information with small business owners on issues that will soon affect the way you do business. One issue that NDTR is very passionate about is the 1099 Reporting Requirement. A new information reporting requirement will place an unnecessary and expensive paper work burden on small businesses.
Most Americans are familiar with Health Care Reform. Wow! What an- uproar I have never seen so many people upset about health care. I guess it was a volcano waiting to erupt. Well it has to be paid for without increasing taxes. One way to pay for this expensive bill is to stick some of it on Small businesses like you and me. Someone has to pay for it. Well that is where the 1099 Reporting Requirement comes in. Most people in congress don’t think small businesses are paying their fair share of taxes so in order to make sure small businesses are reporting all their expenses under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) this new mandate will require businesses to use Form 1099 to report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) all payments to corporations in excess of 0 for goods and services.

According to the NSBA this mandate has nothing to do with health care coverage or reform, and instead was used as an unrelated “pay for” as a way to help the IRS track and collect taxes on income that now goes unreported by enlisting business to help create a paper trail.
This is law but it will not go into effect until January 1, 2012 which means you will have to 1099 all your 0 or more purchases in 2011. The provision would require information reporting on a Form 1099 for all business transactions with a vendor whether incorporated or not, valued at more than 0 and the reporting requirement would be for both services and property. It would apply to payments to any single vendor , it is likely that the number of 1099s filed each year by small businesses could easily exceed 100 million.

Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Cailf) introduced legislation, the Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act (H.R. 5141), which will repeal section 9006 of the PPACA that requires any business that purchases more than 0 of goods and services from another business to submit a 1099 form to the IRS Let’s hope Rep. Dan Lungren can make a difference and Eliminate H.R. 5141.

It really doesn’t matter what your political views are if you own your own business you will be affected no if or and about it. This is not about Democrats and Republicans this is about business owners. Who cares what side of the political fence you are on. It really boils down to your business.

Disclaimer: NDTR is only interested in providing information on the issues we don’t take sides we just want to educate the public on news and information that effects everyday citizens.

I do not think that is the case. I believe there is a lot out there that NASA and the other space agencies like the ESA and JAXA are clueless about. After all, the universe is immense beyond belief, and possibly infinite. My belief is that these space agencies keep quiet because they do not know everything, and therefore they refuse to disclose certain subjects, discoveries and events until they have a firmer grasp of the situations or discoveries. Q&A: Band requirements in Washington State?

April 19th, 2011

Question by Caitlin S: Band requirements in Washington State?
I bought a Green Cheek Conure two years ago this month. The story I was given was this: she (the bird) and three other chicks from her clutch were hatched as an aviary in Idaho was closing down. A Washington State lovebird breeder went to that aviary to buy off their breeding pairs of peach-faced lovebirds and saw the GCC chicks and brought them home to hand raise herself. I acquired the bird from this lovebird breeder when I saw a listing on Craigslist, and bought her with cash. There were no documents of any sort. I don’t even know the woman’s last name, or the name of her aviary. I did look up the aviary the bird hatched at and did confirm they had handed off four GCCs to this lovebird breeder, but my concern is that my bird is unbanded and apparently undocumented in any way.

At the time, I did not realize that this might be an issue, even though I had done my homework and read up on parrots prior to getting her.

I realize there is no way to put a closed band on her now, but is there a law in Washington requiring a band, and, if so, do you know how I could get her banded? I will probably go get her micro-chipped, too, just in case.

Im in the U.K so not sure of the law. I do know thats its impossible to close ring a bird over the age of 3 -4weeks, you will need to use a split ring. Speak to the your vet who will sort it all out. Your O.K without paper work for any bird not on the most endangered list. I would be very wary of Craiglist I have heard some bad things.

What are the building code requirements for a single family rental in Washington state?

May 1st, 2010

I have a home in Washington that I would like to rent out. I have been told that Washington has specific guidelines for a home to become a rental, eg. gfci, blind cords, etc. I don’t know where to get the list so that I can get the house ready to rent.
