Rubber Soul 50 at The Way facility
Event on 2015-12-05 20:00:00
Hard to believe, but 50 years have passed because the launch of The Beatles timeless album, Rubber Soul. Also to mark the event, just how facility can have Rubber Soul 50 on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 8pm. Three Brooklyn-based bands will take the stage and perform this beloved record in its entirety, re-interpreting among the Beatles’ greatest recordings. It’s hard to imagine the world without songs like “Norwegian Wood,” “Michelle” and “in my own Life.“ Sophisticated hooks and themes were reveled on such tracks while the Byrds-influenced “If I Needed some one,” George Harrison’s mod anthem “Think on your own,” together with only track that sufficient cowbell, “Drive My automobile.” All classics. Gone had been the teen romance documents, changed by love tracks with newly explored level, like “You Won’t See me personally,“ “The term, “ and “I’m Looking Through You.” And there clearly was more bitterness than bubble gum on this record, demonstrated by “Wait” and “Run for Your Life.” Don’t miss Rubber Soul 50, at Method Station, 683 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY on December fifth at 8pm.
