What Hotel in Washington DC offers rooms with a beautiful view of either the Capital or Wash. Monument?

November 30th, 2010

Question by John: What Hotel in Washington DC offers rooms with a beautiful view of either the Capital or Wash. Monument?
Looking for a nice Hotel for my family vacation in August for less than $ 200 per night that looks out over either the Capital Building or the Washington Monumnet. Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by js adams : blk w/ bear
Your price range of less than $ 200 per night drastically limits any choices with good views unless you can find a great package deal; most downtown and Capitol Hill hotels charge $ 350-$ 395 and above.

An option might be the Holiday Inn (550 C Street SW just south of the National Mall and Smithsonian museums) or a package deal at the one of the larger Capitol Hill hotels (most clustered around North Capitol Street NW and New Jersey Avenue NW) but there is no guarantee of getting a room without an obstructed view of the Capitol building or Washington Monument.

Your best option might be one of the hotels across the river in Arlington, Virginia (Rosslyn or Crystal City) which offer good views of Washington, DC.
