If the government pays for you to eat and live, then those on welfare have NO cost to being irresponsible.
They are being given an incentive to breed irresponsibilty, crime, and government slavery, because they have no cost to being irresponsible.

Disagree.
Welfare is intended to be used by people while they try to get back on their feet so they and their families don’t starve, freeze and do without basic necessities. It works for a lot of families.
Any abuses should be reported, investigated and charged.
