@bg1379: A nightmare, simply put! I’m a California native, and NYC traffic is arguably worse than what I’m used to in Los Angeles.

@Freewayjim great audio editing by you then – there are 2 versions, one a short radio edit and the other with the intro/outro. ‘Cause those radio stations like to keep our music short to fit in more commercials! Either way, dancing with the boogie get down is always the best in town, car dancing included – peace ;.)

  8. Freewayjim says:

@0marigolds: I must confess, that is the regular version of Boogie Nights, I just did some creative editing chopping up and re-arranging parts of the song ; )

  9. 0marigolds says:

great filming and editing – and the long version of Boogie Nights – perfect ;.)

@6:27 How did the person in the Trailblazer that keeps hitting the brakes get back in front of you if you went different ways ?!

  12. Freewayjim says:

I have no idea, I don’t live there.

    @Freewayjim

How does this compare to weekday rush hour traffic? Awesome vid btw.

A very classy video, 5 stars!

  15. Freewayjim says:

It was about 9-9:30 PM on a Saturday night. Traffic was pretty heavy in the opposite direction on FDR drive along the east side.

  16. cameraonself says:

what time did you film this at? The traffic in FDR drive is not that heavy! Midnight?

  17. Freewayjim says:

If you want unique check my Boston Videos. They moved an elevated 1950′s style 6 lane freeway underground and made it 8-10 lanes. Most expensive highway project in US History.

freeway jim thanks for sending me the video.I love new york city what I like about new york is that it has unique freeways and its freeways are unique and different from other big cities also.Birmingham has some what bigger freeways but the biggest i have ever seen so far has been the downtown connector in atlanta thats a huge freeway in atlanta.

  19. Freewayjim says:

Some of the Freeways around Birmingham are bigger than those in NYC. Land is too expensive to build huge Los Angeles Style freeways, plus all of NYC’s freeways were built before 1965 and there really is no room to expand.

I have never been to new york city because i live in alabama the deep south but from watching this video new york city roads and interstates look narrow and small.I was expecting new york city to have big interstates with like 15 lanes of interstate see and how its the biggest city in the world but instead it has a narrow three lane interstate or road. unless im missing more of what new york city has to offer of interstates or roads.I just saying this based on what im seeing on the video.

I use a Sony HDR-HC9 which shoots to MiniDV tapes in HD.

  23. HongsiquanWingDing says:

you should do a video of driving down Broadway in super fast speed w/ some wu-tang in the background.

  24. HongsiquanWingDing says:

Brooklyn Bridge looks so much better in the daytime.
