Get the latest: my.barackobama.com President Obama spoke at the AIPAC Conference on March 4, 2012. “President Truman put it well, describing his decision to formally recognize Israel only minutes after it declared independence: “I had faith in Israel before it was established,” he said. “I believe it has a glorious future before it – as not just another sovereign nation, but as an embodiment of the great ideals of our civilization.” For over six decades, the American people have kept that faith. Yes, we are bound to Israel because of the interests that we share — in security for our communities; prosperity for our people; and new frontiers of science that can light the world. But it is our common ideals that provide the true foundation for our relationship. That is why America’s commitment to Israel has endured under Democratic and Republican Presidents, and congressional leaders of both parties. In the United States, our support for Israel is bipartisan, and that is how it should stay. But as you examine my commitment, you don’t just have to count on my words. You can look at my deeds. Obama also impacts the price of everything through monetary policy. His spending has caused the dollar to drop about 6% since he was elected, so the price of everything, not just gas, has gone up by almost 6%. Food prices have gone up even more? because of his ethanol subsidies. That is a tax on everybody. He’s doing it to prop up the stock market for the 1%, who are now contributing huge dollars to his campaign. You think Obama is for the middle class and poor?. He’s got you so people fooled.

  3. MrFreeLibertarian says:

They don’t of course, but they can definitely impact the price by say I don’t know…a moratorium on drilling for new oil. Yeah, a moratorium would definitely work to keep gas prices up. It’s the law of supply and demand. If Obama announced tomorrow that he was lifting the moratorium on drilling,? gas price would drop immediately, but why would he when he has publicly stated that he wants gas prices to go up? And the price of gas has doubled since he was elected. Coincidence? Yeah, right…

  4. pithaya says:

Since when? do presidents determine the price of gasoline?

yeah i gotta say i don’t hate the guy at all people say he would try for the renewal of the assault weapons ban during a second term as much as i would hate that i think he will be re-elected and he will not draft or resubmit the ban because he tries? to be bipartisan and knows it would make a huge backlash in congress and throughout the country
