My Dad is going today on Veteran’s Day. Left at 9:00am this morning. This will be one of the big days of his life. It means SO MUCH for him to have this opportunity. I know that they will take care of him and treat him like royalty!

My father was able to take the flight October 15, 2011. He said it was one of the best days of his life. And, at 90 (this coming January), that’s is saying a lot!

I am a graduate student putting together a compilation of stories from Veterans from WWII. I am looking to interview anyone who has a story from WWII. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with our highly regarded Veterans. Interviewing them would be such an honor. I believe that personal stories are such an important part of history. If you know someone who I can interview, you can contact me at : (email) I can do over the phone or in person interviews.

I attend Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. My English class is going to Washington D.C. to meet with Honor Flight May 28, 2011. We are looking foward to meeting these HEROS and hearing their stories and memories.
